Dosing & use

Microdose

Definition: A very small dose (about 1-2.5 mg THC) meant for subtle effects.

A microdose is a very small amount of cannabis, usually around 1 to 2.5 mg of THC, taken with the goal of a subtle effect rather than a strong high. Some people prefer microdosing because it lets them stay clear-headed while still enjoying cannabis.

Edibles and tinctures are the easiest way to microdose because the milligrams are clearly labeled. Some brands make low-dose gummies or mints designed for this. You can also cut a standard 5 or 10 mg edible into smaller pieces, though the THC may not be spread perfectly evenly.

With smoking or vaping, microdosing means a single small puff and waiting to see how you feel. It is harder to measure precisely.

Microdosing can also be a good way for new users to learn how cannabis affects them, and for people returning after a break.

We do not make health claims about microdosing. Effects vary, and even small amounts can affect coordination and reaction time. Do not drive after use. Check the label for mg per serving, and wait at least two hours with edibles before taking more.
