Quarter (7 g)

Definition: A quarter ounce of flower, or 7 grams, equal to two eighths.

A quarter is short for a quarter ounce, which is 7 grams of flower, or two eighths. It is a step up from an eighth for people who already know they like a particular strain and want more of it.

Quarters can offer better value per gram than eighths at many shops, but not always, so compare prices. The main reasons to buy a quarter are convenience and price, while the main reason to stick with eighths is variety and freshness.

Flower slowly loses its terpenes and aroma once a container is opened. If you buy a quarter, store it in an airtight glass jar, in a cool, dark place, and keep it away from heat and sunlight. Some people add humidity packs to keep it from drying out. Do not store flower in the freezer or fridge, where moisture and handling can damage trichomes.

Weight reference:

Possession and transport limits depend on where you are and where you are going, so know the rules before you travel. Ask our staff whether a strain is available in a quarter size.
