First-Timer Guide to The Stash House Gowanda
Short answer: bring a valid government-issued photo ID (21+), browse the menu or reserve for pickup online, pay in store, ask staff anything, and start with a small amount of any new product.
Before you go
- Bring ID. A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID showing you're 21 or older is required for entry and purchase.
- Check the hours. See the hours on our home page or FAQ, or call 716-307-5219.
- Payment. You pay in store. Call to confirm which payment methods are currently accepted.
- Know where you're going. We're at 1578 Bush Road, Gowanda NY 14070, on the Cattaraugus Territory of the Seneca Nation.
Reserve for pickup (optional)
Browse the menu, add items to the pickup cart and send a request. It's not confirmed until we call or text you back. Then pick up and pay in store with your ID. The website menu is currently a sample, so ask staff about what's in stock.
At the counter
Tell staff it's your first time. Useful things to mention: how you'd like to consume (smoke, vape, edible), whether you prefer a lower-strength product, and any flavors you like. Words you may hear: eighth, pre-roll, total THC, terpenes. Our glossary explains them all.
Start low, go slow
- Smoking or vaping: one or two small puffs, then wait 10-15 minutes.
- Edibles: 2.5-5 mg THC to start, and wait at least 2 hours before taking more. See onset.
- Avoid mixing with alcohol, and never drive after using cannabis.
After your visit
Store products in their packaging, sealed, somewhere cool and dark, and out of reach of children and pets. Respect the rules where you are; cannabis laws differ between jurisdictions, so don't take cannabis anywhere it's prohibited.
