Badder / budder

Definition: A concentrate whipped to a soft, creamy texture.

Badder (also called budder or batter) is a concentrate with a soft, creamy, cake-frosting texture. It is usually opaque and light yellow or golden. Badder is typically made with hydrocarbon extraction, then whipped or agitated during the purge. That agitation makes the cannabinoids crystallize into tiny particles, which gives badder its smooth, scoopable feel.

People like badder because it is easy to handle. Unlike shatter, it does not shatter or stick to everything, and you can scoop a small amount with a dab tool. It often carries good flavor, especially when it is made from fresh-frozen material and labeled as live badder.

Badder is usually dabbed or used in a concentrate vaporizer. Start with a tiny amount, about the size of a grain of rice, especially if you are new to concentrates.

Store badder in a cool, dark place with the lid closed. Heat can make it oily, and long exposure to air can dry it out and dull the flavor.

As with any concentrate, check the label for total THC and the COA for potency and residual solvent testing. Ask our staff about current options.
